Raija Sunell found Arnolds through an ad in the newspaper 20 years ago. In 1996 the Lahti store was hiring and the work-focused catering school student got a job. Later, she went on to run an Arnolds franchise. Raija decided to buy herself a delicious workplace. She already knew the ropes, and only had to learn the paperwork.
Over the years the product range has expanded hugely, which is, in Raija’s opinion, a great thing. Her own favourite is a white-chocolate coated Raspberry Jammy. She doesn’t always have time to have a donut when work gets busy, but when she really feels like having a treat, the combination of jam and chocolate is perfect, Raija says.
“This year will be my twentieth year with Arnolds and my seventeenth year as a franchisee. When people are amazed at my long career here, I say to them: where else would I go every day?” Raija says.
